A Touch of Grey

May I addcrow-187x300
a touch of grey
to your sky of blue.

For what I’ve seen
is not blue,
but something like
a passing storm
through your

flawless skies.

As a mix of gray
and touch of blue
will change the mood
to a sky
I would never
dare to ruin

I would like to thank Robert Frost’s Fragmentary Blue and Dust of Snow  as the premise to my combination of the two.

Behind the Mask

When I say Superman, you think cape. When I say Batman, you think black suit. How about The Hulk? Giant, the green guy who is too big for his own good? Yup, you got it! Every superhero has style, and some methods are better than others. When you’re out there fighting crime, it’s pretty obvious that you need a fresh outfit to do so. The costume is just as important as the person inside of it.

Don’t take off your mask; it’s your identity. Spidey, no! :O

Ring, ring, ring and then screeching sound of the phone. Finally, you drag yourself out of bed, wipe your eyes and give a big morning stretch.  Slowly you pick up the phone and to your surprise it’s the Green Lantern! He said he wanted you to come to his birthday party.

Only superheroes received an invite, and everyone needs a costume. He says that you can pick out any outfit you want and only have a few hours to the party!

Immediately, you jump out of your couch, put on your socks and run to the closest Halloween store. Once you get there, you realize that you might have gone to the wrong place. Unless you want to dress up like a clown or a ghost, this isn’t the place for legit superhero costumes.

Finally, you return to your house, get out your sketchbook and begin to plan out your costume.

One of the coolest superhero suits ever! Look at that style and awesomeness!

Now the pencil is in your hand and your blanking out! It is a lot harder than it seemed at first, right?

Me personally, I would have to make sure my superhero costume was comfortable. Luckily, for The Hulk all, he wears are sweatpants while someone like Iron Man has to wear an annoying iron suit. I would make sure my outfit was comfy.

Next, it’s all about the mask. I would want a mask similar to the one that Wolverine from X-Men would wear. That mask was freaking awesome. I would take that mask,  make it black and add some blue pinstripes along the side. For my suit, I would want a suit that was similar to Batman, but I would want it to have some blue lines that ran down it to match the mask, preferably fresh neon ones that shined in the dark.

Last, but not least I would take whatever shoes The Flash has. That dude is fast as heck!  I would just hope  his shoes came in a size 10.5.

Now my suit is planned out, and I can save the world and drink some punch at the party!

Rain, Rain, Come and Stay

What would happened if it rained 24/7? I mean nothing but rainy day, after rainy day. It sounds like a pretty good Dr. Seuss idea, or maybe similar to the children’s book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Sure, rain everyday would not seem like the ideal weather for some, but maybe rain everyday would have a greater impact than one might think.

Hey, birds! Go back inside, it’s raining! Gosh!

Rain gives you the perfect excuse to stay inside all day and be lazy. No one wants to go outside when its raining, they rather sit home, do some work around the house and read a book that they never had the chance to read. See! Already one thing that has gotten done thanks to the benefit of rain. Now let’s think a little deeper into it. Since your home and snuggled up in your house, another benefit of this would be, no need to use your car. Since there is no need to use your car, you would save money on gas and going out and spending money!

Let’s go back to 1800’s, there has been many wars fought over land, power and greed. What would happen if, the day of the war there was a huge rainstorm. No one wants to go out in the middle of a huge rain storm to fight amongst each other, they would rather settle there conflict over a nice game of cards inside! Thanks to some rain, the whole history of America could have been rewritten, well kind of!

Rainy Day Checklist

Sleep √

Chores √

Television √

Relaxation √

More sleep! √

Now back to the 2000’s, rain not only forces you to stay indoors, but it keeps you off the streets and out of trouble as well. Instead of being out on the street, you are pretty much forced to stay at home. While at home you also have to the chance to spend some time with your family. There are many people who don’t have the time to spend a few hours a day with their loved ones. This is why rain is there to help!

As you can see, rain is pretty awesome. There are many reasons why it should rain a lot more often. I am still a big fan of snow though. I would’ve made this idea up about snow, but snow is so darn annoying to clean up. Anyway, I am sorry if I offended any lovers of the beach with this idea, but a little rain can go a long way!

One Life, One Chance

“Do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity comes once in a lifetime.” Those were the words spoken by Eminem in one of his most popular songs, Lose Yourself.

One life and one opportunity to be whatever you want to be. Each person is born with a blank page and the ability to write whatever they want on this page.

For some, they could take the page and write an award-winning novel. While others could take that same page and turn it into a paper airplane.

You can do whatever you want to do with your personal page. Life is whatever you want it to be, and you are the author of the story that you want to write.

What is the meaning of life. Sure, the word life is the dictionary with a definite meaning, but life is something that really can’t be defined. Life is the most cherished thing that you have and is something that many people take for granted every day. Life might not always be beautiful, but it is up to you to define your meaning of what life is. Some people sit back and wait for things to go their way. They have dreams but don’t have the willpower or the motivation to go out and carry out things that they want to do. Instead of sitting back and waiting, go out and make strides to reach those dreams. Sitting back and waiting is only going to delay you from reaching your goals.

Take a chance, reach for the stars.

Be lucky for the things you have and don’t live a life with any regrets. Take your shot and if you miss just take another. Just remember that you miss 100% of the shots that you never take. Don’t take life for granted and don’t dwell on the negative things that you go through. Just try to live life the way you want and don’t be influenced by anyone else.

The Voice Behind the Game

The next time you watch a sporting event on television put the television on mute. Now try watching the game without the voice of the announcers while only listening to the sounds of the game. Now tell me, would it be the same? What if there was no announcer  for each team? All you would here was the crack of the bat or the squeaks on the basketball court.

Would watching or listen to a game without the announcers?

Many people take announcers for granted. They tell a story, they are like the narrator of a movie.  Announcers keep the action in a game going along, while giving you play by-play updates at the same time. What if there was an amazing upset and the underdog just scored the game winning goal or touchdown?

Sure, you would hear the crowd cheer and the players jump up and down, but it’s just not the same. A classic-line like, “Do you believe in Miracles?” was said by Marv Albert when the United States hockey team defeated Russia in the Olympics.

Classic lines like this are what make a game memorable.

Take away the announcer and all you have is a game with no emotion.

Sure, you have the fans, but for someone sitting at home they can’t feel what it is like sitting in a stadium. Even when you go to a game live it really doesn’t have the same feel as watching it at home. Sure, it is cool to go watch your players live and actually be there when your team wins or loses, but it just feels like there is something missing. That is why there are announcers to set up the stage and make you feel like you are in the game. They put the emotion in a game, for someone not in the stadium. They hit you with those classic one-liners that they are known for and share their excitement with the fans watching at home.

Announcers usually come in pairs. Vin Sculley is one announcer who calls the game by himself.

The clock is ticking down, this shot will send the New York Knicks to the NBA Finals, a place where they have not been in over ten years. The ball goes out to Carmelo Anthony, he looks right, dribbles down the lane, and puts it up! The ball bounces on the rim and it goes in and the New York Knicks are going to the Finals! Just try to compare that to the sounds effects of a ball going through the net, just to hear a crowds reaction.

Without the Vin Scully’s of the world sports would be not even close to the same as it is now. Announcers are a small part of sports that go unnoticed. There are still some annoying announcers out there who get overly excited when nothing dramatic really happened and  end up trying too hard to come up with some exciting commentary, but you can’t blame them because they are just trying to put some emotion in the game.

The next time you watch your favorite team play, take some time to listen to the announcer.

Try and turn off the television and turn on the radio and listen to the game, like how it was listened to back in the day. If you would listen to sports on the radio without the live picture you will really appreciate how these announcers can really paint a picture with words. Without their voice the game wouldn’t be the same.

Look Beyond Looks

What does the word beautiful mean?

Is it what the media tells us or is it really that beauty is in the eye of the beholder? Personally, I believe beauty is defined by what the media says.

Many people take one look in a mirror, and they look away. They say to themselves that they are not “beautiful”  and say that they don’t have the perfect eyes, nose, or smile.  Then again what does the word, perfect actually mean? The answer is the word, perfect, and the word beautiful is whatever you want it to say. It is perception.

The only point of a mirror is for someone at themselves and find their flaws instead of identifying their something good about them self. Even so-called actors and actresses look in the mirror and even though they are considered “perfect” they can still point out flaws about themselves.

If these “beautiful” people thought they were fine the way they are then why do they go out and spend millions of designer clothes and cosmetic surgery?

Beyonce is the 2012 most beautiful woman. What makes her “beautiful”?

Look at any front page of a magazine and tell what do you see. You see the media’s idea of the most attractive person.

Why is this the model of what is considered beautiful?

Instead of having the most attractive person on the cover of a  magazine, how about you put someone who as actually made in impact on someone’s life. Try putting someone in the spotlight who has invented something that made a difference or maybe someone who spent their time helping others. Those are people who deserve to be on magazine covers and have cameras follow them around.

Next time you look into the mirror, think.

I want you to think, is this what I want to be? Do these clothes, shoes, and style fit who I am?

Make sure you are being the person that you want to be and not the person you want others to think you are. Stay true to yourself and don’t change for anyone, no matter what others think of you.

People can call you unattractive and this and that, but so what?

That is their opinion and who cares what they may think. Want to know the real definition of beautiful?  The people who don’t judge a book by a cover are the definition of beautiful.

Someone who can be them self without worrying what others think of them is what the word “beautiful” really means.

No More Video Games! Wait, What?

Many parents yell at their kids and say that they are not active. They tell kids to put away their video games because they are not productive and are just a waste of time.  The mass media also agrees, they say that video games cause violence in younger children and expose them to things that they should not see at their age.

The debate is that video games cause violence in younger children. Video games are similar to movies, they are not real and are just for entertainment. Also, video games have ratings on them; they tell you what age group should be playing what game. Parents should be responsible for letting their children play a game that has a mature rating, just like they should be responsible for letting their child watch a rated-R movie. I think that video games are a scapegoat to bad parenting. As a parent, they should know what their kids are playing and watching. Even though it’s inevitable to block everything that they see, they should still be able to monitor what they watch or play. I don’t get why no one puts any blame on television and movies and always are quick to blame video games.

There are far more positives than negatives when it comes to video games. Video games keep kids away from the violence. Kids are safer inside of their house shooting imaginary aliens rather than out on the streets causing chaos. Video games help keep kids and their minds active, instead of them going out smoking and drinking like many kids are doing in our generation now. There are even video games that are educational; there are games that help kids learn even more than they do in school. Let’s face it, what kid pays attention in class, I know I never did. I can honestly say I learned more jumping from platform to platform in Mario and trying to collecting rings in Sonic than learning useless equations in math.

All he ever wanted to do was eat some ghosts. I wouldn’t consider that crime; the dude was hungry.

Most parents want kids to sit at home and read books. Sorry, but no twelve-year-old wants to jump into an exciting book. They want to pick up a controller and try to catch every Pokemon they can. If you can get your kid to read book after book, then I give you all the credit in the world. Sure, reading can be good, but so can video games. You can learn the same amount in reading a book as you can playing a video game.

Take away video games and see what happens. Kids would go crazy; there would be more kids in trouble than ever. Video games are more than education, and they are fun as well! Video games can help you learn without even knowing that you are learning. Playing puzzle games such as Tetris can help you learn the concept of recognizing and putting things where they belong and following an order, tell me how this is different from what you learn in math class, it is not. I say kids should play, under the right supervision.

Celebrity Status

A celebrity is a status that many want to reach. Once the status  achieved, the fame is something that many people tend to shy away from, while others embrace. The obsession with this celebrity status has altered some people’s lives and has also changed them as a person. Is the flashing lights and cameras all worth it?

Fans line up and pay their hard-earned money to watch these so-called “celebrities” on television or live at events. There are all kinds of celebrities ranging from Dick Clark and Donald Trump all the way to Justin Bieber and Mike “The Situation” from the Jersey Shore. When you become a celebrity, you take on the responsibility to become a role model. Like it or not, some young kids and teens look up to you.

What makes Kim Kardashian earn the “celebrity” title?

Some celebrities deserve to have the spotlight that they do, but there are so many who don’t. There are actors and sports figures who deserve the spotlight because they have this one attribute that makes them earn that status, that one attribute is talent. Talent is something that you are either born with or is something that you develop over time. People who have this use this ability and can make a difference. Some can make a difference on the baseball diamond, and others can make a difference on the big screen and deliver award-winning performances.

Many celebrities are just celebrities because of their name or their appearance on television. There are so many people who become famous because they do something that draws attention on television and people become automatically intrigued by them. Reality television stars and most mainstream musicians fall into this category.

Turn on the radio and all you hear is a catchy beat followed by some lyrics. These lyrics have no meaning behind them, no positive message and best of all probably weren’t even written by the music artist. They are there because they are an attractive figure who can bring in the money. Reality television stars are the same way. Can someone please tell me where is their talent? What do they do that is different from anyone else? They live life and have a camera follow them around all day. The funny thing is that they live a scripted live, they don’t live the life portrayed on television, it is mostly just for show.

A celebrity is someone who the media pushes on us and tells us that they are a celebrity. That is my definition of what a celebrity is in our day and age. The next time you hear the word celebrity, separate the people who earned that status and the person  given that status.

Fantasy Draft Turned Reality

Imagine it’s the fourth quarter and Tom Brady drops back for the pass. He looks to the right, but Percy Harvin is covered, then looks left and hits Greg Jennings in the back of the end zone for the game winning catch and the New York Jets win the 2015 Super Bowl.

Just imagine this crazy scenario taking place.

My proposal is that the NFL or any sport of that matter, should take the popular online game fantasy football game and turn it into a reality.

It can be done just like it’s done online, every team will go into a lottery system where the first team would get the first pick and so on. It would spark a brand new interest in the game of football.

All of those fans who have had years of bad luck can get a brand new jump start with the addition of someone like Cam Newton on their team. There would be a new line of revenue from all of the new players switching teams and the jersey sales would be through the roof.

Things would be a lot different if LeBron ended up somewhere else. New York anyone? Well one could only dream.

Each team would have a hard salary cap to all of them on the same playing grounds when it came to money. There could be rules implemented such as teams using a franchise tag on only one player they want to keep, before the rest go into the fantasy draft.

The options are endless to the fun and excitement of making fantasy football a reality. Coaches could even be thrown into the mix as well, maybe even team announcers, they can make it as entertaining and as crazy as they want.

I know when I watch football sometimes it seems boring watching the same players on the same team year after year. When your team plays Aaron Rodgers they know he is going to dominate and take over the game like always, but what if he was on a team with a bad supporting cast, it would really show if he has the actual ability to still be a superstar quarterback.

The world is always changing and people are looking for something new and exciting. I think this would really shake up the world of sports.

Even other sports could attempt a similar fantasy draft like the one that I proposed here. Now that would be something.

Just think the years of pain and anguish of being a Cleveland Browns fan may be over. Think about the cocky and stuck up Los Angeles Lakers fans, they can finally be humbled by having someone other than Kobe Bryant hitting game winning shot after shot for them.

Two Lives to Live

Imagine not having only one life to live, but now you have two.

When you see a yellow box with a question mark. You have to jump and hit it, obviously!

Another day just walking through the park. All of a sudden, you find a box floating in the air with a question mark on it. Playing Mario multiple times before, you know what you have to do. Of course, you’re going to jump up and hit the block! That is what you do and out comes a green mushroom. It falls to the ground, starts moving to the right, and you chase after it. Finally catching up with it, you touch it, and it disappears.

Days goes by, even months and you go to the doctor for your yearly checkup. He tells you that he has discovered something that has given you another life, meaning if you would happen to die you have another chance to live. All of a sudden you freak out, well obviously, it’s crazy that you have another life. Thinking to yourself, you remember the trip to the park. Finally, it all comes together. Mario, a yellow question mark block, a green mushroom and another life, It was a 1-up mushroom!

What would you do? Now you have another life!

Let’s lay down some rules. This extra life is exactly how it is used in Mario if you would fall off a cliff or run into a Goomba you would be dead. Well in our world if you would run into a bus, but you get the idea.

I don’t know what I would do, should I just go to the top of a mountain, jump off and see what happens? I think I would have to do something like that, right? I need to utilize this 1-up, it’s not every day you find this kind of things lying around.

On the other hand, it would be pretty scary. I’m not sure if I would want to kick the bucket and come back, even if it was for only a few seconds. It would be pretty crazy, because who knows what actually happens to you in those few seconds when your gone. I find out when Mario falls off the edge of a platform, he just gets right back up and continues his journey. I’m not too sure that I would be able to get up like that and go on like nothing ever happened!

Now that I think about it, I’m not too sure that I want that 1-up. Maybe I should just stay away from yellow question mark boxes if I ever see one. They are pretty suspicious now that I think about it!

If Only Superheroes Were Real

So your walking down the block in New York City. You see an old lady getting ready to cross the street. It is your picture perfect scenario to walk over there and help her. Make you feel good about helping an old lady and look like the good guy. You’re all ready to go, to wait for the right moment, hoping that a lot of people around to see you do this good deed.

All of a sudden here comes something flying toward this old lady. It is a red object, wait…no! You finally realize that it is a person hanging from the web. This mystery person swoops up the old lady, drops her on the other side of the street and continues swinging from building to building on his web like nothing ever happened. Don’t lie, if that ever happened it would be pretty awesome.

Imagine if all of your favorite superheroes came to life. All of the superheroes that we all idolized growing up, turned into reality!

Another day, another morning. You get ready to go to work once again, wake up, go outside, and you get your daily newspaper. You turn to your left to say hello to your neighbor and you see this kind of cool looking car outside of his house. Looking closer you realize that is a the Bat Mobile, the same one that you use to watch on television as a kid. Making his way out of the car is Batman himself, he looks at you, gives you a wave and continues his average day of fighting crime.

If superheroes were real, there would be no need for the police force. Just think about it, who in their right mind would want to mess with a superhero with supernatural abilities that could take you down in an instant. Well of course if you are a villain like the Green Goblin or someone like that. Besides those crazy villains, there would be no one, and I mean no one who would have every stand toe to toe with a superhero in a fight.

I am not going to mess with someone who looks like that… ripping up the ground for no reason!

Picture this; you get pulled over for going 35 mph over the speed limit. You lower your window to deal with a cop who is going to yell at you, and then you realize, it is The Hulk. Yes, the giant green guy who can crush you into pieces if you dare to give even him a funny look. I know I would say something like, “Sorry for speeding Mr. Green giant looking guy, just please don’t hurt me. It won’t happen again I promise.”

I would then take my ticket, not say a word and get the heck out of there. Of course, if you paid The Flash a few dollars, he could get you to wherever you wanted to go in lighting fast time. You would never have to worry about another speeding ticket ever again.

Is it a crazy idea to have the world with real superheroes? I don’t think so at all. I believe it is a win-win situation for everyone involved here.

Heck, let’s go as far as saying that there would be no need for a president. I think the Justice League would do a pretty good job of keeping our country safe.

Hardest Sport to Play?

Sitting at home and yelling at athletes on television is a hobby for some.

Fans get outraged at these over paid athletes. They think that they should perform at their highest level every time they go out and play a sport. They yell and curse at the television, whenever an athlete strikes out or misses a big shot in a game. Going out and performing in front of millions of fans, in the stands, and on national television is not as easy as it looks.

An athlete is someone who posses a skill or a talent that makes them capable of playing a sport. Every athlete is different, some are good at being strong, others are good at being smart. Each game requires a different skill set for an athlete to succeed at that particular sport.

Some sports, people are just born to play.

If you were born 7-foot, can catch a ball and put it into a hoop, then you are destined to play basketball. If you were born 5-foot, 110 lbs you could make the perfect jockey.

There is one sport though that doesn’t require any height or weight requirement. This game takes both strength and smarts. It is one of the most watched sports today but doesn’t get the credibility of a sport such as football, baseball or soccer.

I am talking about the most difficult sport to play, that requires the greatest skill set. That sport is golf.

Take your golf club, get your tiny little golf ball and hit it into a hole that is 4.25 inches. Did I mention that you only have a certain number of tries to do this and that the location of the hole is anywhere between 100 and 600 feet away?

I think that golf is the hardest sport to play. With sports such as football and basketball, you can practice and build up muscle and strength to become better. Golf is a sport that requires a unique skill set. People of all ages can play golf, unlike any other sport. There have been golfers the age of forty who have won the Masters. In sports like baseball and basketball you can define the odds of age and play, but you are at a greater disadvantage.

Golf is similar to wine, as you get older you get better.

Golfers become smarter and learn how to angle their shots and judge what golf clubs to use on different shots. It is not easy judging a shot with gusty winds trying to alter the direction of your shot.

Each sport requires a particular talent to succeed. I am not attempting to say that tennis or soccer is easy to play. Sports like boxing and football take a lot out of you. Those are sports of determination and heart. Who can outlast the other opponent to the end?

img_sports-cast
There are individual positions that are tough to play. Such as a pitcher or a quarterback. Each of these posts requires smarts and skill. It is not easy trying to read a defense and throw a perfect pass or throw a baseball in an exact location on the edge of the plate.

The difference between golf and those awkward positions are that you can overcome being a quarterback or pitcher with other talents. What I mean by that is: if you can’t throw a perfect pass, you can succeed in other ways.

Running for a first down by yourself or throwing quick passes to your star receiver, can take the pressure off of you. A pitcher throwing 100 miles per hour can intimidate any batter.

As a golfer, you are out there on your own. You get help from your caddy, but it is you against the wind and the course. There is no alternative way out you can use to help get out of a bunker or a forest. Reading the wind and choosing the best club is your only way out.

Playing any sport is difficult and requires a ton of skill, of course.

I’m just saying the next time you turn on the television, just think about how hard it is actual to play the game of golf. Reflect on the unique skill set it requires to hit a golf ball into a hole that is 4.25 inches big and over 500 feet away.

Still America’s Pastime?

As the years come and go things change. Some for the better and some for the worst. When it comes to sports, players and coaches always come and go. One thing that will never change is the past.

It has always been said that baseball is America’s pastime. The word pastime is a word that means, doing something fun, amusing and it usually something that is done as a hobby.

Many people like to argue that football is the new pastime of America. I will tell you that baseball is still America’s pastime today and it will always be Americas pastime even in the future. Football has only been around about 50 years and is recently becoming popular in the United States.

Baseball is a sport that has been around for more than 100 years and was around before people even knew what a football was or who Peyton Manning is.

There are many reasons why baseball will never be replaced as America’s pastime. The first one is because of the atmosphere of coming to a ball game. When you come to a baseball park you are there to watch a sport that is like a piece of art. The movement and the flow of the game from inning to inning is nothing compared to any other sport. There is no time limit or clock to stop a  baseball game, it can go on for as long as it takes someone to win.

There is nothing better than going to the ball park with your family or friends during a sunny, breezy afternoon. When you attend a football game it is in the cold, frigid days of the winter.

No one wants to sit outside in the cold, snowing weather to watch a game. Baseball starts right when Spring does and it welcomes the warm weather and fans to the ball park.

The football season is only 16 games long. While a baseball season is 162 games. Let’s say your favorite football team starts off the season 0-7, you know right then and there it will almost be impossible for your team to make the playoffs. All of that money you spent on season tickets are all to waste. When your favorite baseball team starts off 0-7 they will eventually turn their bad luck around.

There is no way a team can lose 162 games, well we haven’t seen one yet.  Football tickets are far too overpriced as a result of a 16 game schedule. You can arrive at a baseball game the day of the game and purchase ticket that aren’t too expensive.

Many argue that football is the more exciting sport to watch. I may have to agree with that point, but football is on the same lines of UFC and boxing. Instead of two people fighting it is two teams going back and forth trying to tackle and stop the other team. Baseball is a much more relaxing, family welcoming type of game.

When you come to a ball park on a summer night you can sit back, relax and even read the newspaper as you watch the game. Football doesn’t have that same welcoming feel as baseball does when you arrive to the stadium.

Finally, baseball is a much harder game to play than football. Argue this as you may, but trying to hit an 95 mph baseball coming right at you is nearly impossible, not to mention pitches that are sliders and curve balls that move around and make it even harder to hit. Being able to throw and locate a pitch is just as hard as hitting. In football there are certain positions that are so easy to play.

It really doesn’t take much talent to be an offensive line man or even a punter. Baseball is a game of finesse and overall skill. These players have to play almost every day during the baseball season, that is no easy task. Football players, granted it is a far more physical sport, have a week off during each game.

It’s hard for a sport to claim that they are the new pastime of America. I don’t think any sport will ever claim that spot. Football maybe the most popular in America now, due to ratings. That still doesn’t make it a America’s pastime. Baseball is and will always remain America’s pastime.

No More Reality Television

Image

You turn on the television to find something that is entertaining to watch. Flip to the first channel, and it doesn’t look like it is of any interest to you then on to the next one… the next one. Finally, you stop on this new reality television show that catches your eye.

If you start watching, then you will notice that this show is pretty much what you do on a daily basis. The only difference is that it usually involves celebrities or people claiming that they are normal just like you.

For some reason just because it is a celebrity, people can’t change the channel. They must continue watching to find out how these people live on a day-to-day basis and watch the “terrible” life they have rolling around in millions of dollars.

I think the biggest problem why people waste their time watching reality television is because it is “popular” and it is what everyone is watching.

You go to work or school and for some reason, everyone loves to gossip about reality television. I just don’t get it, people spend their time watching how other people live instead of worrying about their lives.

There are many different reality televisions shows from the Jersey Shore to show like Survivor and Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. These are three entirely different shows, but they all have one thing in common. They are all trying to entertain the viewer and keep them interested so they can make sure the audience watches the next episode and keeps the money pouring in.

Do you think that Snookie and the other Jersey Shore members act like stuck up snobby Guidos off camera?

I am sure they still do to some degree, but they are actors. People don’t get it!

They still tune in to watch these shows and give up their time to watch how other people live or claim how they live. These are the same individuals who complain that they don’t understand how reality television stars make millions of dollars even though they still tune in every week.

I think that it is time for people to tune out from the television and tune in and worry about their lives (smh – shaking my head).
