The Hero Inside

If you were to walk down the street many new faces would pass on by. Most of the faces you may never see again, but inside each and every one of them is the ability of choice.

Some people spend their time on earth for good while others use it for evil, but inside everyone is the ability to be a hero.

A hero is usually the person who makes it to the front page of the newspaper and magazine, but many of those mainstream heroes do good deeds just noticed and gain popularity and attention.

Don’t get me wrong, many of them deserve the spotlight for their heroic deeds, but is the spotlight necessary?

I believe that the true heroic deeds are the ones that go unnoticed.

A simple helping hand with a small task or a smile to a stranger can make a world of difference. Just offering to help another or being polite can really shed some good in this world.

So next time your down or upset just think about the world around you. A world constantly trying to stay a float everyday without another killing or crime.

Just try to go out and do your own small part because you can be a hero even if it’s for a minute and who cares if the world isn’t watching.

Next time if the opportunity presents itself:

  • Go outside of your comfort zone
  • Make a difference
  • Take a chance

And help someone else because it may save make a difference in their life along with your own

  1. Hand in hand with this, I do really like the ‘pay it forward’ mentality. let’s say someone was your hero one day… the next opportunity you get, pay that forward to someone else who needs a hero.

Also… yay! Youre our 20th follower! *throws confetti*

    1. That is a great idea. It would be pretty cool if it would pass on like that. The world would be a better place. Yes! *makes a snow angel in the confetti lol

  2. I really appreciate this post -just the other day, I had an experience that is very relevant to this. A homeless kid was crying on a street corner, holding a sign that said “I need a miracle” because his only friend had just passed away. More than anything, he said he wanted a friend, and he needed kindness because people can be very cruel to homeless youth. Thank you for posting this.

    1. You are so welcome. It’s crazy how much some people take things for granted. If you step out and walk on the streets there a millions of people just dying for that small, little deed to bring a smile to their face.

    1. It’s true, there are so many opportunities to do good deeds. The world would be a much better place if we stopped for a second and did even one small one per day

      1. So true. It’s really too bad that our world has been corrupted by terrible people, isn’t it? Peace and love…that’s what it’s about. (Not to sound like a hippie love child…lol)

  3. Well written and very true – Heroes are all those good people who carries out out a kind deed – size does NOT matter i.e big and small deeds are equal!

Just a simple nice SMILE at someone makes one a HERO – as Vinny said in his interesting article!
