Family. Friends. Fun.

That pretty much sums me up right there.

Hello! I’m Vinny, 21 years old and I live in New Jersey. I go to the University of Rowan in New Jersey and I’m a journalism major with a creative writing concentration. My goal is to one day be a sports or video game writer and write for any kind of newspaper or magazine. I love sports, music and video games, without those I don’t know what I would do to keep myself entertained.

I am still a little kid, I watch more cartoons than anyone  ever should. I much rather watch that than the ridiculous stuff that is on television now a days.

I still get excited for Christmas. I still wish upon stars. I daydream everyday and dream big, but that’s who I am. I’m just trying to hopefully make it big one day and reach all my goals. Reaching for the stars, but landing on a cloud if I don’t make it. As you can see, I am a dreamer.

I am done!(:

      • Vinny Says:

Old School cartoons are amazing. I think I will still be like 80 years old and watching cartoons from the 90′s. Kennan and Kel, Hey Arnold, Doug, Rocket Power, Rugrats I can go on forever!

  21. Vinny Says:

Overall as a team? lol I think that they have some good young talent with Lawrie and have some good young pitchers, but they are in a tough division! I also like their jerseys and how they went back to their old logo lol

Atleast the Jays have that extra wild card spot now, so that helps their chances a little bit. Heck yeah J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets lol

  33. Thanks for checking out my post – i’m pretty green at all this but I’m having a blast! Glad you are young and heart – i love optimistic people! They make the world a better place. I’ll be tuning in often (although I am not “sporty” at all :-)

  34. Vinny Says:

Being positive and looking at the bright side of things is the only way to live! Not everyone loves sports dont worry lol

  35. Good luck! I am just like you.. daydreaming, hoping to make it big one day (in a different sort of way)… blogging is a good start though I think. :) A lot of bloggers really get noticed or their sites take off and land them a world of opportunities.

  36. Vinny Says:

I hope so I am pretty much just starting off! Thank you so so much. I hope that you get to go wherever you want to go too! lol

  42. Vinny Says:

I guess I am very lucky then. Hopefully we can put our differences aside! lol(:

  43. xojmo Says:

It’ll be difficult. With my being a Patriots fan and all.

  44. Vinny Says:

Well let’s just hope the Jets beat the Patriots this year, so I won’t have to be mad at you!

  45. xojmo Says:

Well clearly I am NOT hoping for that. Good luck with all that stupid Tebowing.

    • Vinny Says:

As long as Tebow finds a way to help contribute and help win games, he can do his Tebowing thing all he wants. I’ll be Tebowing right along with him.

  46. Vinny,
Thanks for stop’n bye. Funny thing about being 20 … “optimism”, I LOVE it. When you get to 64, I’m sure your optimism will be right there … only with a “twist”.
Tellya a “Tebow” story. I’m a Georgia fan, and we played Tebow (Univ of Fla.) every year, so of course I followed his college career. At any rate, I go to Gainesville, Fl. about twice a year and I was there during the playoffs. Went to this sports bar for dinner and they had the Denver game on. Everyone in there had a “Bronco’s” jersey on with Tebow’s #. And that was just one diner. Can you imagine how much $ is gonna be spent for all of Fla. to change up their Tebow garb. Jezzzzzz!
I am not a Tebow fan, but I appreciate his passion for the game, and “good boy image” and guidance to all his fans and people in general.
I hope Denver’s loss is the Jet’s gain.
*Just a note, I was a huge “Broadway Joe” Namith fan.
    U B WELL!!!!!
    G.

  47. Vinny Says:

I hope I will stay optimistic when I’m still 64! I’m sure I will be yelling at the younger kids running around, saying how easy they have it.

Tebow is a genuine guy. More athletes should be like him and play for the love of the game and not care about the money. If more players played for the love of the game then there would be no Tebow craziness. Tebow is different than the stereotypical athletes, that is why he is so popular. Athletes should be grateful they play the sport that they love for money!

Joe Willy Namith brought the Jets their first and only Super Bowl. I’m obligated to honor him for that lol

  48. pattisj Says:

I see you’re sporting our new favorite team’s colors. :) (Tebow fans) You are so right about tv programming. Our grandkids are being raised on a steady diet of those old shows. Not sure who enjoys them more, the kids or the son-in-law. :)

    • Vinny Says:

Yes I am a supporter of my team through the good and the bad times, well mostly the bad! I think that I defiantly enjoy those old cartoons more than the younger kids now a days lol(:

  49. Noor Says:

Thanks for the like Vinny :) I like your style of writing, it’s very entertaining…keep up the great work!

  50. swaggeroonii Says:

Hey thanks for the follow!!! First person under 30 I’ve encountered so far =P Followed back – I think I may actually learn something about sports now haha

    • Vinny Says:

I think you said that a little loud. Everyone over 30 is going to be mad at you now /: lol Sports aren’t that hard to follow, there are ones like tennis and golf where the concept is pretty easy lol

      • swaggeroonii Says:

Haha oops! No offense intended of course! I guess anyone I’ve ever seen blogging are the 16yr olds all over tumblr lol =)

      • Vinny Says:

Well I wouldn’t consider them “bloggers” or posting anything besides pictures and stuff, but I know what you mean :P

  51. Thanks for the like! Best of luck in your studies! It fondly remember being an undergrad…but standing in the front of the class now, hands and dress stained with chalk even though no one uses it anymore…has given me a new level of appreciation for by gone days of being a young English major! Keep on keepin’ on!

  52. Hatm0nster Says:

Hey dude, I Nominated you for an Award! http://vg2caps.wordpress.com/2012/08/29/achievement-unlocked-one-lovely-blog-nomination/

  56. StephBristow Says:

Hey fellow Journo! Thanks for stopping by my post and liking, I did an undergrad in journalism and English and I loved almost every minute of it, by the way you have written your blog posts, without flattering you, I can already tell that you will achieve your dream of writing about the things you love. Also you’ve made some wonderful points about ‘beauty’ in the media, and self confidence, hopefully I’ll be able to look in a mirror one day without pointing out flaws. Its also good to see someone else as excited about Christmas as I am all the year round he he xxx

  57. Annie Says:

Thanks for stopping by on my blog. Keep on dreaming. Dreams do come true, give it sometime.

  74. elizfrat Says:

Hi Vinny and thanks for following my new writing blog. I’m a bit jealous as I always wanted to do journalism then ended up in something totally different just by a small quirk of fate. At least I can still write in my spare time though (if I don’t I start to get a bit twitchy! :)) Anyway, please consider yourself followed back and I look forward to checking in.

  75. Thanks for the “like,” I appreciate it. Really liked this post. Between the avid cartoon-watching and passion for writing, we have a lot in common. XD Hope you get where you’d like to be in your career if you haven’t already.
